Masters of Computer Application
Shree L. R. Tiwari College of Engineering (SLRTCE) offers an AICTE-approved Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program. MCA is a postgraduate degree designed to provide students with a strong foundation in computer science and its practical applications in today’s technology-driven world. The program has a duration of 2 years, with an approved intake of 60 seats. To enhance industry readiness, students are provided with a six-month industry internship in the final semester. The program is conducted in offline mode, ensuring interactive classroom learning and hands-on practical exposure.
With the growing demand for skilled IT professionals across industries, the MCA program at SLRTCE equips students with advanced technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills required to meet the challenges of the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Eligibility Criteria
- For Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates, All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates:-
(A)First Year Admission-
(i) should be a citizen of India;
(ii) should have passed any graduation degree (e.g.: B.E. or B.Tech. or B.Sc or B.Com. or B.A. or B. Voc. or BCA etc.,) preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level and obtained at least fifty per cent marks (at least forty five per cent. in case of candidates of Reserved Categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to the Maharashtra State) in the qualifying examination;
(iii) should have obtained a non zero score in MAH-MCACET 2026 conducted by the Competent Authority.
- Non Resident Indian (NRI) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National Candidature Candidates.-
(i) The candidate should have passed any graduation degree (e.g.: B.E. or B.Tech. or B.Sc or B.Com. or B.A. or B. Voc. or BCA etc.,) preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level and obtained at least fifty per cent. marks in the qualifying examination;
(ii) Any other eligibility criteria and requirement declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act;
(B)Second Year (Lateral Entry) Admission-
- Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates.-
(i) The candidate should be a citizen of India;
(ii) The candidate should have passed B.Tech.(Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Information Technology (IT)) or B.E. (Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Information Technology (IT)) or Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) (4 years);
(iii) Any other eligibility criteria and requirements declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

- Non Creamy Layer (This certificate should be valid upto 31st March 2027) for VJ/DT-NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), SBC, SEBC and OBC.
- Proforma –A, Proforma –B, Proforma – G1, Proforma – G2 required for Type of Candidate – C,D,E, respectively. (As mentioned in DTE (MH.) brochure.) (if applicable)
- Necessary certificates required for Type of candidate -Def-1, Def-2, Def-3, Physical handicapped students, J & K Migrant Candidates, Economically weaker section as mentioned in DTE (MH.) Brochure (if applicable)
- Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner.
- AICTE anti-ragging undertaking by students & parents on Rs.100/- Non Judicial paper duly notarized (Format to be collected from Admin Office). Students & Parents also need to fill ONLINE at: www.amanmovement.org OR www.antiragging.in and printout to be submitted in the Admin Office.
- Affidavit for Minority status on Rs.100/- non-judicial stamp paper duly notarized (Format should be produced at admission counter). (if necessary)

Admission Procedure
Admissions for the Master in Computer Applications (MCA) program are conducted as per the norms of the Admission Regulatory Authority (ARA) and the MH-CET Cell under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra (GoM). The rules and regulations prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of Maharashtra, DTE Maharashtra, and the University of Mumbai are strictly followed. Admissions are based on the eligibility criteria and merit in the respective entrance examinations. All admissions are carried out according to the schedule published in leading newspapers and on the MH-CET web site.
FEES FOR FIRST YEAR MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS (MCA)
FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2026-27
- All those belonging to VJ/NT/DT/SBC/OBC having annual income for the year 2025-26 more than ₹8 lakhs will have to pay full fees as per Open Category.
- Fee concession as above to those belonging to VJ/NT/DT/SBC/OBC/EBC/SEBC/EWS having annual income less than ₹8 lakhs can be availed against submission of income certificate issued by Tahsildar Office (mandatory).
- Payment will be accepted through Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Shree L.R. Tiwari College of Engineering”, payable at Mumbai. No cash payment will be accepted. Payment can also be made through online mode.
