IIRS-ISRO Outreach Program at SLRTCE: Enhancing Knowledge and Skills in Remote Sensing and Geoinformatics

The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), operating under the aegis of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Department of Space, Government of India, stands as a beacon of excellence in the realm of Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, and GPS Technology. It plays a pivotal role in nurturing skilled professionals who specialize in the use of these technologies for the management of natural resources, environmental preservation, and disaster management.

Empowering Academia and User Segments

IIRS Outreach Program lays its primary focus on empowering academia and users in the domain of Space Technology & Its Applications. To achieve this goal, the program harnesses the potential of online learning platforms, offering two distinctive modes of content delivery: Live & Interactive mode (often referred to as EDUSAT) and e-Learning.

A Recognized Nodal Center

Our institute has achieved recognition as a nodal center, and this status allows us to conduct online courses offered by IIRS-ISRO, Dehradun. These courses have garnered significant interest, with more than 100 registrations for over 10 different courses. By choosing our institute as their preferred nodal center, learners benefit from the immersive experience provided by live & interactive courses.

At SLRTCE, we take immense pride in being a part of IIRS Outreach Program. We aim to facilitate high-quality education in the domain of space technology and its myriad applications. Our students, along with learners from diverse backgrounds, have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge through this well-structured online learning initiative.
