Principal Profile

Prof. Dr. Umesh S. Bhadade is currently serving as the Principal of Shree L. R. Tiwari College of Engineering, Mira Road. With 29 years of dedicated service in the field of education, he has held key academic and administrative positions including Head of Computer Engineering & Information Technology, Dean Academics, Director Technical Development, and I/C Principal across various engineering institutes.

Professional Development Activities:
Dr. Bhadade has taught at institutions affiliated with KBC North Maharashtra University, Pune University, and Mumbai University. He has participated in workshops on teaching quality enhancement, National Education Policy 2019, outcome-based education, and the adoption of e-learning in higher education institutions. He also contributed to syllabus framing for Computer and IT Engineering at KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, and attended over 22 weeks of AICTE/ISTE-sponsored STTPs covering topics like Engineering Education, Communication Systems, IoT, Technical Education Training, Entrepreneurship, and Research Funding.

He has organized conferences at the University, State, National, and International levels—including the first IEEE conference in the KBC North Maharashtra University region. As a mentor, he served as a proctor in the IEEExtreme 10.0 programming competition that saw participation from over 6800 global competitors.

Dr. Bhadade has also been invited as a speaker and resource person in AICTE/ISTE Faculty Development Programs and guest lectures at institutes across Maharashtra and Gujarat. He is an advisory committee member at Amrutvahini College of Engineering, Sangamner, and a member of the Research Advisory Committee at SSBT College of Engineering and Technology.

He has conducted NBA workshops for faculty and IoT workshops for students, in addition to developing IoT labs. He is a life member of ISTE and a Fellow of IETE.

Under his guidance, 5 Ph.D. students have completed their doctorates in Electronics and Computer Engineering, while 5 more are currently pursuing their research. He has also served as a reviewer and examiner for Ph.D./M.E./M.Tech dissertations at several prestigious universities, including Gujarat Technological University, University of Calcutta, Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University, and KBC North Maharashtra University.

Dr. Bhadade has published over 80 papers, including 27 UGC Care/Scopus-indexed papers in international conferences and journals. His research impact includes an h-index of 10 and i-10 index of 10.

He holds a published patent titled "An Induction Fluid Heater Apparatus" (May 2017), and is an ex-member of the Board of Studies for Computer Engineering (including IT) at KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.
