• Objective of the Event
Quiz competitions are always interesting and informative, which provide excitement among the students. Objective of this event is to enhance technical skills of students and boost their IQ level.

Brief information about the Event
Information Technology Student Association (ITSA) of the Department of Information Technology, Shree L.R.Tiwari College Of Engineering organized “QUIZIFIED-Technical Quiz Event” on 5th August 2022. The students were engaged in challenging and thought-provoking questions. The main purpose of the competition is to develop interest in subject areas of information and technology including competitive aspects. The contest was held between students of IT department & CS department . The Quiz was unique because it was held on virtual platform. Rules and regulations of the quiz were explained at the beginning. The competition includes objective questions which engaged the students for one hour. It took place in two sessions, first in morning which included students of third and fourth year of IT & CS department and second in afternoon with the the students of second years of IT & CS department. There were a total of 150 students. Winners were selected based on the evaluation criteria. Ecertificate were provided to the participants. And the all the participants were provided with credit points.

Event Format:
• The Quiz shall be conducted through offline mode only.
• The Link shall be made available to the Participants via WhatsApp.
• The Quiz shall comprise of 20 Questions
• The Questions shall be MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)

Pre-Requisites:
• Basic knowledge of Information Technology and Computer Science Engineering.
• Please bring your own Mobile Phones.

• Outcome of the Event: It was very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants. Virtual platform-based competition gives better experience to the participants. And students got an brief idea about ITSA.

Introduction:

IT-SAS stands for Information technology Students association of Shree LR Tiwari College of Engineering. It is the departmental organization for Information Technology.

ITSA-SLRTCE founded in the year 2021-22, our committee organizes events to bridge the gap between classroom education and the technical skills required by students to be industry ready.

Our activities of IT-SAS will nurture students’ exposure to leading domains in technology to offer a head start. We focus on holistic growth, so our students become complete engineers.

Our mission is to provide a continuous progressive platform to technophiles for exploring advanced technologies and encouraging students’ engagement in their holistic growth.

Events Conducted

1. ITSA-SLRTCE Inauguration

Inaugural  ceremony of  “Information Technology Students Association of Shree LR Tiwari College of Engineering (ITSA-SLRTCE)” held on Tuesday, 7th September 2:00pm to 3.00 pm by the Department Of Information Technology.  

Guest invited for an Inaugural ceremony is Dr. Satish Varma,HOD-IT & Professor,Pillai College of Engineering, New Panvel. 

Inauguration starts with the warm  welcome of   guest, committee members teachers and students  by HOD (IT)

Then the President of ITSA-SLRTCE  gave the introduction of Dr. Satish Varma greets him. Then he introduced ITSA-SLRTCE Committee members. After That he has mentioned the mission and objective of ITSA-SLRTCE. 

Then Dr. Satish Verma enlightened the students about recents trends and development in Information technology followed by the events that can be organized under the ITSA-SLRTCE student chapter.

2. ITSA-SLRTCE Technical Paper Presentation

ITSA-SLRTCE conducted an online technical paper presentation for students on Friday, 1st October 2021 from 2:30 PM to 3.45 PM through Google Meet.

Total 21 groups participated in the technical paper presentation which are distributed among 6 panels.

An event is judged by internal evaluators (department faculties) and external evaluators (eminent faculties from UoM). 

First 2 Winners are declared based on the maximum score of average of internal and external evaluators. Also we have declared the winners form SE, TE and BE IT.

Finally, Winners are felicitated with certificates and cash prizes.

3. ITSA-SLRTCE Webinars
a) IPS Webinar
ITSA-SLRTCE conducted a webinar on IT Act and Cyber Policing-Perspective by renowned IPS officer Shri. Sunil Ramanand is scheduled on 22nd October 2021 from 11.20 am to 1.00 pm through online mode. This seminar is conducted for SE,TE and BE IT students

Total 150+ participants have attended this webinar. Speaker explained all the Information technology Acts as per government guidelines and different types of Cyber Policies. Students get awareness about different cyber crimes and pooling activities through various examples.

b) Data Mining “ A Industry Approach
ITSA-SLRTCE conducted a webinar on Data Mining “ A Industry Approach” by Mrs. GAYATRI SHAHANE, StructionSite Inc, Oakland – Data Scientist on 9th Feb 2022 from 10:15 am to 11:15am through online mode.
This seminar is conducted for TE IT students
Total 60 participants have attended this webinar. Speaker explained Statistical Description of Datasets, Data preprocessing , data cleaning , reduction , clustering and data visualization. Students get the practical experience in data mining field.

4. META IT-SUMMIT
ITSA-SLRTCE conducted two days Inter Department META IT SUMMIT 22 on 16th and 17th March 2022 . The objective of this SUMMIT is to increase involvement of students with the institute and improve communication as well as active participation amongst the students. This event will also boost their confidence as the students will compete in an open stage environment after two years of online studies. This event is mapped with PO’s 3-5 and 8-12.
This is a two days event with the different competitions held on the 5th floor. There are more than 100 participants enrolled in this event. Each Event is evaluated by Judges from various fields. Events have successfully conducted by our enthusiastic ITSA- heads and coordinators.

This was the main event of the Meta IT summit’22, it was a two day event. Participants have to make their teams of maximum four and minimum two members and battle amongts the other teams in three separate rounds. firat count Quiz followed by coding held on day 1 16th march 2022. Total 5 teams have participated out of them 4 teams are selected for next day. Then All the selected teams will be given 3 real world problems at the end of day 1 and instructed them to select any one and make a small ppt as a solution for their problem and present it on day 2 17th march 2022 . The results were generated based on the evaluation sheet submitted by judges. Top two winners were felicitated on the next day in the felicitation program with trophy, cash prize, goddies and winners certificates.

2. Codoers

Codoers: This was a coding event where participants had to participate individually. They had one hour of time to solve three coding questions. This event was hosted on an online platform HackerRank. Thisevent was organized on the day 1 of Meta i.e 16th March. The event started at 9:30 am sharp to 11:00am. Students from SE, BE and TE participated. The results were generated automatically. Top two winners were felicitated on the next day in the felicitation program with trophy, cash prize, goddies and winners certificates.

Brainlient: A quiz event consists of 30 questions which was hosted on an online platform Kahoot. The questions consist of topics related to general coding, current affairs and the modern innovations in the tech world. This event was organized on the day 1 of Meta i.e 16th March. The event started at 12:30pm sharp to 1:30 pm. Students from SE, BE and TE participated. The results were generated automatically, Top two winners were felicitated on the next day in the felicitation program with trophy, cash prize, goddies and winners certificates.

4. Spontalks

Spontalks: This event was organized on the day 1 of Meta i.e 16th March. The event started at 02:00pm sharp to 04:00 pm. In this event every participant were asked three rapid fire questions and they hasone minute to answer each of them. Two External judges were invited for this event. The judges were provided a mark sheet with different categories to jugde. Students from SE, BE and TE participated. The results were generated based on the evaluation sheet submitted by judges. Top two winners were felicitated on the next day in the felicitation program with trophy, cash prize, goddies and winners certificates.

5. Play IT

Play IT: this was a short entertaining gaming event. This event was organized on the day 2 of Meta i.e 17th March. The event started at 10:00 am sharp to 01:00 pm. The event consisted of two different games, COD and BGMI. The participants had to make a team of maximum four members to battle against the other teams. Students from SE, BE and TE participated across all branches. The results were generated automatically, Top two winners were felicitated on the next day in the felicitation program with trophy, cash prize, goddies and winners certificates.

Objective of the Event-
The main motto of this workshop was to know the various database tools used in industries for data analytics.

Brief information about the Event-
Information Technology Student Association (ITSA) of the Department of Information Technology, Shree L.R. Tiwari College of Engineering organized seminar on “Evolution of current trends from database to big data analytics in industries”. The speaker was felicitated by the Head Of Department Dr. Roopali Lolage. The students were made aware about the upgrading technology from Databases to Big Data and the daily life tools which are frequently used for this procedure for the analysis of the data and acknowledge about the industrial environment. Students were enlightened about the various industrial tools like Hadoop, Tableau, Advance Excel, MongoDB, etc. Being an alumnus of the college, she even guided the students the importance of the project-based knowledge with her academic experience and challenges she faced over as a student. Also, she taught us about structured and unstructured data. She introduced us with Hadoop Environment. The presentation prepared by her was quite informative and useful for all the students of SE, TE, BE students of Information Technology Department. Ms.Riya also did an interactive session with student which in turn was very informative. The seminar ended with the thanksgiving speech by one of the members of the committee

 Outcome of the Event- It was very informative and knowledge enriching for the students. They got an intensive insight into the current industry technologies and tools and gained additional information regarding various internships they can do in the future.
